Role Overview

The Product Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our AI solutions for law firms. At this stage of our startup, this role is primarily focused on designing intuitive and effective UI/UX, conducting rigorous QA and user testing, gathering competitive intelligence, and maintaining comprehensive product roadmaps.  

The ideal product manager will have a solid background in product management and a passion for superior product user experience.  S/he can design and execute E2E in detail, linking vision/strategy/competitive intelligence to product design and continuous improvement.  S/he is passionate about using AI to change the legal world and execute in detail to drive our product forward in the competitive legal tech market.

Responsibilities (in descending order of priority or importance at this stage of our company)

1. UI/UX Design and Execution:

  • Collaborate closely with co-founders and stakeholders to translate the product vision into detailed UI/UX designs for each product function/feature, down to each step of the user workflow.  
  • Work with the Tech team to implement user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces that meet customer requirements and feedback, and enhance user satisfaction.
  • Actively read feedback documents updated by the GTM team, conduct GTM interviews to extract insights, and enhance feedback documents, saving the sales team time and effort in doing documentation. 

2. Quality Assurance (QA) and User Testing:

  •  Conduct daily QA and user tests to identify issues and bugs proactively.
  • Provide timely and detailed feedback to the Tech team to ensure swift resolution of any problems before they impact client demos or training sessions.
  • Maintain high standards of product quality and reliability to ensure a seamless user experience.

3. Competitive Intelligence and Market Research:

  • Conduct market research to gather thorough competitive intelligence on key competitors.
  • Analyze competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, and provide actionable insights to differentiate our product and refine our go-to-market strategy.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our solutions ahead of the curve.

4. Product Roadmapping and Coordination:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps that align with the company’s key objectives.
  • Coordinate discussions with Sales and tech teams to ensure alignment and prioritize development tasks.
  • Suggest timelines and sequences for product releases and updates based on business needs and market conditions.

5. Customer Feedback and Market Intelligence:

  • Attend ad-hoc events with prospects and clients to gather customer feedback and market intelligence.
  • Use insights from customer interactions to refine product features and improve overall user experience.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and pain points.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Tech Design, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in product management, preferably within the AI or legal tech industry.
  • Proven track record of designing successful UI/UX for complex software products.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to QA and user testing.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with competitive analysis and market research.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for technology and a deep understanding of the legal industry is highly desirable.
